Research Work
- Research lines span postural control, EMG, physiotherapy, and temporomandibular and craniofacial research, with career-progression collaborations including a Silesian University of Technology biomechatronics block, a Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences anthropology block, and a University of Warmia and Mazury children's head-and-neck surgery block.
- Co-author of Study 14, a randomized controlled trial in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome in which manual therapy plus neurodynamic mobilization techniques were compared with electrophysical modalities (red and infrared laser plus ultrasound applied by contact method at the transverse ligament area) over 20 therapy sessions at twice-weekly intervals. Two-point discrimination (2PD) improved significantly in the symptomatic limbs of BOTH groups (p < .001), with no statistically significant difference between the two treatment groups; the authors concluded: "Both therapy programs used in this study were beneficial for improving 2PD."
Role in Study 14
Co-author of Study 14. See Study 14: Effect of Manual Therapy and Neurodynamic Techniques vs Ultrasound and Laser on Two-Point Discrimination in CTS (Journal of Hand Therapy, 2016; PMID 27094495).
