Tomasz Wolny
Career
- Career institution, machine-verified from the PubMed class: Department of Kinesiotherapy and Special Physiotherapy Methods, The Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education (AWF), Katowice -- 56 of his 58 classified records carry it.
- No degree or title string was machine-verified anywhere in his corpus; the profile stands on the verified career record, the closed co-author web, and the identifier below.
- ORCID 0000-0001-7910-757X is identity-locked by its works list (the Feland-pattern lock): 63 work groups, of which 40+ titles match his PubMed corpus verbatim (cubital tunnel syndrome RCT/case-control/neurodynamic series, two-point discrimination reliability work, neuromuscular ultrasound), so the record belongs to this person regardless of its thin name fields. Publisher Identifier tags under his author line on 10 corpus records confirm the same identifier is minted by publishers on his works. The record carries NO employment or education entries (works-only), so the identifier plus the verbatim works-lock is the credential basis.
- Identity basis: a 58-record class 2010-2026 closed as one research program with the AWF team on nearly every record (Linek 44x, Saulicz Edward 25x, Mysliwiec 23x, Saulicz Mariola 6x). E-mail anchor t.wolny@twreha.com on PMIDs 30860206 and 30688099. The ORCID expanded search "family-name:Wolny AND given-names:Tomasz" returns exactly 1 record, and no other Tomasz Wolny exists in PubMed.
Research Work
- Research class: neuromuscular ultrasound, neurodynamic techniques, carpal tunnel syndrome, and cubital tunnel syndrome, one continuous program 2010-2026.
- First author of Study 14, a randomized controlled trial in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome in which manual therapy plus neurodynamic mobilization techniques were compared with electrophysical modalities (red and infrared laser plus ultrasound applied by contact method at the transverse ligament area) over 20 therapy sessions at twice-weekly intervals. Two-point discrimination (2PD) improved significantly in the symptomatic limbs of BOTH groups (p < .001), with no statistically significant difference between the two treatment groups; the authors concluded: "Both therapy programs used in this study were beneficial for improving 2PD."
Role in Study 14
First author of Study 14. See Study 14: Effect of Manual Therapy and Neurodynamic Techniques vs Ultrasound and Laser on Two-Point Discrimination in CTS (Journal of Hand Therapy, 2016; PMID 27094495).
